Here's post number two of the day. Chloe's taking a nap, and I was lying in bed trying to take a nap as well when I realized today marks the one year anniversary of when we moved into our home. A year ago today I was 9 months pregnant and furiously cleaning our old apartment since we had to be out by June 1st. I was intent on getting our whole deposit back so I could use the money for Chloe's room. And I would have gotten it all back had I not dropped a bottle of bleach on the carpet right as I was about to lock up the apartment. The bottle wasn't open, but apparently some got on the carpet and bleached a spot by the time the apartment managers did their walk through in the morning. Luckily they only charged $20 or so to dye the spot so we got enough of our deposit back to fix up Chloe's room and pay the co-pay at the hospital when I gave birth to little Chloe. Since I can't seem to get any sleep, I thought it would be fun to post some of the pictures we took when we first moved in along with some present pictures. My pictures from last year were taken with a regular camera, so I'll have to take a picture of the pictures. Clarity may not be great.
One Year Ago

What we have here is a picture of Chloe's room when we moved in. It had some scary brown/green shag carpet. One night while Miguel was asleep I tore out the carpet. Keep in mind, I was 9 months pregnant. In the morning, I had Miguel drag the carpet out and get rid of it. I cleaned up years and years of disgusting dirt and who knows what else that was hiding under that carpet. I painted the room and the night that I went into labor I had spent the whole day on my hands and knees putting down floor leveler to get ready for the new flooring. It's possible that I was trying to induce labor at that point by doing all that work. If that was my intent, it worked. My mom arrived that night and she helped finish the flooring. The other pictures are just the outside of the house.
Today

These pictures are actually a few months old, but northing's changed. This is how my home and Chloe's room look today, except the little tree in front has leaves now. Of course my kitchen is dramatically different, but it's not finished yet, so no pictures. It is getting close though.

Gracie has that same mobile, but we got it a little late and it lasted about 3 months before she could start pulling it down. But we still use the the music. And I also think you should post pics of your belly.
Wow! Doesn't it feel great to see how much you have accomplished in a year! Who knows how things will be by this time next year? Crazy! You are amazing - no doubt about it!
You sure are a Tim Taylor, only without all the accidents. And thanks for the advice on that cleaner; I will have to pick some up in the near future and clean up my poor couch.
