Big News!

I'm waiting for some spackle to dry and I thought it would be a good time to write a post. Yesterday was the big day. We packed up Chloe and my mom and Miguel in the car at 9:10 and headed off to my doctor to get the first sonogram of this pregnancy. After waiting around for about an hour or more, we finally got to go in and the sono tech found the sex of the little one about a half a second after putting the wand on my belly. Thank goodness, I'm having another girl!!! No doubt about it either, her little lady parts were very clear, even though it was just a regular ol' 2-D sonogram. Here's a picture of her profile.

We still haven't really thought of any names. It took us a really long time to decide on Chloe's name, too. My new due date is October 1st.

I took my mother and Chloe to the aquarium yesterday. It was really, really humid and hot. But it was nice. Chloe's favorite thing was a bobcat skin that was out on display for some reason. She loved petting that. We all enjoyed sitting and watching the dolphins. When we got home, Miguel had a big surprise for me. He and the neighbor were in the middle of putting in my new kitchen door! He was hoping to have it done before we got home, but it takes quite a while to put in a door. But the two of them did get it done for me, and I'm so happy! My kitchen's getting really close to finished now.

Also, we finally took a picture of my belly. My mother took it. I would prefer if my face weren't in it, but it is, so here it is. My belly at 24 weeks.
