I talked to Miguel a few times yesterday. He made it to Kentucky safe and sound. He said at least four of his co-workers told him he looked fat. I must say two weeks of eating a lot and not doing much work did take their toll on him. But he loses weight just as quickly as he gains it. Much unlike me. Anyway, he said that now they'll be painting the bottom of the bridge which means they don't have to worry about lane closures so they can pretty much work around the clock. It also means he'll be on the day shift now and that he'll be getting a lot of hours. And while he was here we did some calling and found out that he only owes about $200 on his child support arrears. That's great news, because I thought he still had about $750 in arrears. Apparently I was reading the statements wrong and sending a lot more money than they were asking for. But that's good because now I don't have to worry about it for a while. So the point is, I should be able to start putting money in a savings account so that he can come home when I have the baby and stay for a few weeks without it completely destroying our financial situation. And when my mother was here, she was scheming up a plan to come down when I have the baby as well. I don't expect her to come down, but if she does, that would be wonderful.
I had the worst dream last night. I dreamt that I had my baby, and it was a boy. And then the doctor told me that they had to do surgery and they only expected the baby to live for nine weeks. And then he said that the baby had HIV, which means that he got it from me. It was horrible. As soon as the HIV part of the dream came along, I woke up. I was so relieved to be awake and realize that I do not have aids, and my baby is still safe and sound and is not a boy. There's nothing wrong with having a boy, but I'm planning for a girl, so it would really mess everything up if she came out a he.
I didn't get any work done on my kitchen last night. I had to mow the lawn. I don't have a very small yard, so mowing the lawn is no small feat. But I got it done and I pulled up some grass that had wandered into my flower beds and was starting to cover the sidewalk. And I sprayed more weed killer on the driveway cracks. And then I washed my car. These were all things that really needed to be done. Well, I think I've written enough pointless stuff, so I guess I'll sign off now.

Man, you just can't seem to chill can you? Feels good to get stuff done though huh? I always like the feeling when the grass is mown, sishes are done or I finish cleaning up. I don't much like the feeling sitting in the midst of the mess though.
The tres leches cake is a good one! A great choice for her special day. Wish I could have been there.
