Good things that happened today:
- I got my financial aid and class schedule for summer and fall all worked out
- I had our new door knob re-keyed so that I only need one key for it and the deadbolt
- Chloe was a good girl for the 2 hours it took to re-do my class schedule
- My mother is still here
- I just took a refreshing shower
- Miguel cut up some chicken in cubes and put it in the freezer for me
- I have a beautiful, hilarious baby girl and an extremely active baby girl on the way
Ok, that put me in a little better frame of mind. I posted this picture of Chloe and her daddy because it's cute. Miguel had been working on painting the wooden screen frames that go on our house, so he's got dried paint all over his arms and hands. But Chloe doesn't seem to mind. You can tell she inherited my skin tone, but she got pretty much everything else from her papa. I'm excited to see what her little sister is going to look like.
I finished painting the new door and moulding, and it looks pretty good! I made a fun little curtain for the window. I'll post a before and after picture right here.
Before...
Check out the little corner details on the new moulding. Ooh. There was about an 1/8" gap where the corner pieces and the moulding met, but I just filled it in with spackle before painting, and it's seamless and beautiful now. And look at how nicely the polka dot curtain matches the little glass tiles. I love it. I still haven't finished tiling the edge of the counter top, but I'll get there.Well, this has put me in a much better frame of mind, so I'll go ahead an sign off for today.
