A little before and after.

I'll try to get some cute pictures of Chloe tonight once she wakes up from her nap. She had a big day at daycare today. Her buddy Vivian started walking last week. And her nemesis, who is a month younger than her, but huge, is walking as well. So Chloe felt the pressure and starting giving it a try today. When I picked her up, she took three steps to get to me! It was so cute! And she tried to knock over a plastic book shelf at daycare and bumped her cheek. Big day.

I didn't have class today, but I've paid for daycare, so after dropping Chloe off, I went to a doctor's appointment and to the gym for a quick work out. Then I went to target to look for a different type of sippie cup since I'm having trouble getting Chloe to drink her milk. I found the sippie cup. I also found some new bedding. It was on sale, I couldn't resist! That's why I never go to target. But check out the before and after:

Kelsey and Miguel's Bed Today...

Isn't it lovely? I love that turquoise color. This is the first time I've ever bought a blanket. I usually make quilts because I can and that way I know my bed is totally unique. But the last quilt I made is getting a little worn out and I'm not into the colors anymore, and this quilt cost less than it would cost for me to make a new one. And I really like it. They had a similar set in pink, and I REALLY liked that one, but I anticipate Miguel and I sharing a room sometime within the next year, and this is a little more masculine. It's still not masculine at all, but more so than pink. I used the flat sheet as a bed skirt because I never use the flat sheet, and neither does Miguel. It always ends up wadded up at the bottom of the bed, so I figured that was a better use for it.

And here's another before and after picture. When I got home from shopping, I got to work on the back bedroom that I'm going to turn into a guest bedroom. I got a lot done.

This Morning...

This Afternoon...
I only painted this half the room. The other half is still a huge mess. The next step is to wash the floor and paint it. It doesn't look like it, but that's a concrete floor. I'm going to paint it dark brown, and when I'm all done, I have a big bamboo rug that I got off craig's list that I'll put down. It's amazing what a new coat of paint will do to a room. (don't worry Aunt Cerese, I promise I wore my paint filter mask). Anyway, this is the half of the room that's going to have all the garage type stuff in it. It would be nice to have the windows in the guest bedroom half of the room, but there's just no way to make that work. I'll probably have to put this project on hold for a while though because I have my finals next week and I need to study.

That's a great new bedset! And I don't think it's too feminine. You have been a busy gal with that room. It's going to be fantastic!
