Pictures I probably shouldn't post

I probably shouldn't post these pictures since they're photographic evidence of bad parenting and horrible house-keeping. But I'm going to anyway.

Chloe climbed on top of her music table on sunday.
I saw the whole thing. It was impressive. Luckily I had the camera right there with me.

This is one of Chloe's favorite things ever: string of blue beads. She knows right where I keep these beads- top drawer in the bathroom vanity. If I leave the bathroom door open, she heads right in, opens the drawer and fishes them out. Then she puts them on and crawls around and occasionally sits to take them off and put them back on. I've got the double whammy of bad parenting in this pic: beads around the neck, random piece of plastic in her mouth.

I've started a new project. You know, because I have a lot of spare time right now what with taking two summer classes. I just have to have something to look forward to, and this is it. I've been thinking a lot about what I'm going to do with the day bed that's currently just taking up space in Chloe's room. I know there won't be room for it once I get two cribs in there. And I've also been thinking that it would be really nice to have somewhere for Miguel's mom to stay while she's here this fall. She'll be here at least 4 weeks, and that's a long time to be sleeping on the couch. I really want to be able to use the back bedroom as a bedroom, seeing as how it's being used as a garage right now since we don't have a garage. I used to have it organized, but check this out.
I didn't really realize how horrible it was until I took this picture. And that's only half the room. The other half's not any better. There's a closet in the room, too. It was completely overflowing with stuff. Anyway, my problem is that I don't have anywhere to put this stuff. Yes, some of it is probably just junk that can be thrown away, but a lot of it is stuff for remodeling and home repairs. I was telling my mother about my issue, and she had a fantastic idea- section off the room! So I did some figuring, and I'm pretty sure that once I purge some of the junk and put everything away in an organized fashion, I'll be able to get all the "garage stuff" into a third of the room, and then I can use the other 2/3 of the room for a guest bedroom! And I can move the day bed from Chloe's room into the guest bedroom. I got started on the organization tonight, and I got a lot of progress done. The closet is now organized and the doors actually shut! But I have a very limited budget, so I'm going to paint the cement floor. I got some brown cement paint today and some tan paint for the walls. I'm going to paint the floor and the walls once I get organized and put in a new ceiling fan. Then I'll move in the day bed, get a cheap mattress for it and some linens, and find an inexpensive area rug for the floor. And I'll get a huge piece of muslin and dye it and use it as a divider so my guest doesn't have to see all the home repair stuff.

So, that's my new project, and I have until October to get it done. I think getting that room organized is going to be the hardest part. But I'll just do a little at a time. Hopefully my mom will be the first to make use of it! She's planning on coming down for a week when I have the baby, but don't worry mom, I understand if that doesn't work out. I better get to bed now.

Miss Chloe has already developed her own fashion preferences:0) You are a FANTASTIC mom! Your new project should keep you busy (as if you weren't already!) I have some twin bed sheet sets that I will send to you. It's nice to have such a great before photo so the change of the after is so dramatic.

I think it'll be one of the most dramatic before and after pics ever! Especially on such a small budget.

Chloe is just so cute. It would be fun to get her and Dominik together once he starts becoming mobile. Are you going to come to Idaho for xmas or anything? I would like to see your little girl.
