I just finished taking my lab practical for my invert class. Out of 100 questions, there was only one that I didn't know the answer to. Of course, I'm sure I made plenty of stupid mistakes, so I'm not going to count on a 99%, but I'm sure this will help pull my grade up since I made a C on the first two tests. Now I just need to study hard for the last lecture exam on friday and try to get an A on that test. If I do that, I should be able to pull off a B. I really don't want to get a C- I've earned two C's in my college career, and I'm not proud of that. I'd like to keep that number where it is. Luckily, the professor canceled class tomorrow, so I can study up to eight hours without being interrupted by little miss Chloe.
I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to keep up my exercise routine for the two weeks between summer and fall semester. I'm getting a little worried. I've been going to the gym 5 days a week since school started and I've managed to only put on one pound. I'd like to think that I'll work out at home, but I know I won't. It's too freaking hot and humid to work out outside. Ooh, maybe I'll rent an aerobics video. One per week. That could work. I just don't want all my work up to this point to get ruined by two weeks of sedentary lifestyle. I'll be busy working on getting my guest bedroom set up, but that's not really comparable to 25 minutes of cardio.
Ooh, more Craig's list success! I've been keeping a close eye on c

raig's list for a new crib since Chloe won't be through using hers for quite a while and baby number two will need a crib. Also, I can't figure out how to lower Chloe's crib mattress, and I can tell it's going to be a problem very quickly. She's super flexible, just like her daddy, and she can swing her leg up right onto the couch, which is above her waist. I noticed that the side of her crib comes up to that point, so I'm kind of surprised she hasn't climbed out and fallen on the floor yet. Well, last night I saw a posting for a crib that converts to a toddler bed for $50. It looks pretty nice; this is the picture she has posted on craig's list. And $50 is less than the cost of a crib tent ($65). The woman is going to bring it by my house tonight, and I'll pay her as long as it's as nice as it looks in the pictures. Even if it's not, $50 for a crib is unbeatable. The plan tonight is to switch the cribs. Chloe will sleep in the new crib since I'm assuming it's able to be lowered to a safer point. And Leyla will sleep in the white crib once she's old enough to sleep in her own room. That crib converts to a toddler bed as well, so I shouldn't have to worry about sleeping arrangements for a while. Now all I have to do is keep an eye out for a mattress, but I have plenty of time to come up with that.
Well, I have to go back to the lab now. My instructor told us to go back at 12:30. Word on the street is that he's going to make us grade eachother's tests. We'll see.
Update:
I only missed one question on my lab practical! It sure is nice when my studying pays off. I studied a lot more for my vert practicals last semester, but I never got over a 70. It's nice to have a professor who's actually reasonable. And, I got the new crib and I set it up in Chloe's room. It actually looks really good with Chloe's bedding. Here's a picture. It's in really good shape, and it's really easy to put together. Good buy.

Way to go girl! Hope your studying goes well. The crib looks great! And now you won't have to worry about her crawling out - at least not for a couple more months.
You don't know me but I love reading your blog about your little family you have, and I was wondering where you got your bedding for your little girl Chole.. I just fell in love with it when I saw it. But I have never seen it in any stores... Just curious.. Please let me know..
Martha, I am so glad you asked (and I'm super excited to know that non-relatives read my blog, too!). I made Chloe's bedding myself. I've considered making bedding and selling it, but I wasn't sure if there would be a demand. I love how it turned out, and I'm glad to hear you do too!
Nice work at school. It's tough trying to get through it with a baby around, so congrats on the success!
