On Friday, while I was trying to ignore my cramps, Chloe got a hold of a purple crayon. I saw her walking around with it in her mouth like a dog holding a stick in its mouth. What I didn't see was her creating her first masterpiece. I discovered this work of art on the wall next to the bathroom when we got home from the hospital.

In other news, I am feeling good. I feel like I can do a lot more than the doctor said I should do. I'll take his advice for now and take it easy, but I really don't think I'll need to wait 4 weeks before I can do housework again.
Leyla is doing really well. She has her days and nights mixed up. She wakes up about every two hours during the night to feed and she's wide awake during her night feedings, but she sleeps most of the day.
Chloe is having a wonderful time with her daddy. It's been really great to have him here. Especially since I'm not allowed to lift Chloe. He's been taking care of all the diaper changes and anything else that involves lifting Chloe.
And of course Miguel is happy to be home. He keeps telling me how impressed he is with that I've done with the house while he's been away.
Well, I should try to take a nap while Leyla's asleep.

i can't believe gracie hasn't done that yet. but she certainly does eat the crayons. i'm so glad you are doing well. leyla is a doll baby!
Leyla is soo precious. Congrats on the new addition. I'm glad Miguel was able to drive home as soon as he found out the news. I wish you all the best and hope baby gets her days and nights straight soon.
Looks like Chloe will take after her mom in the artistic vein. I like the pic with her admiring her work and Miguel there with Leyla's little foot showing. The new family dynamics!
You had better be careful Missy! Don't get all excited about "doing housework" before the Dr. says you should. There is a reason for him telling you that- (Karen felt compelled to say)

I agree with your mom. Even though you feel ok listen to that Doc.
Who knows what is lurking in the future so rest while you can.
(many say I am a pessimist, but of course I think I'm a realist)
I love the picture of Chloe admiring her work and showing it off. So cute! I am soooo glad Miguel is there to help with Chloe and I am not surprised to hear he is amazed at your remodeling. You are amazing! Your house is amazing..and on a limited budget.
