False Alarm

I've been instructed by the doctor to rest. I thought I went into labor last night. At about midnight I started getting a lot of contractions. I timed them, and they were regular and the time between them was steadily getting shorter. I stopped timing once they were 5 minutes apart. At that point, I got up and walked around. Then the contracts were pretty much constant. But they didn't hurt, so I wasn't totally sure if I was in labor. After about a half hour of that, I was sure enough that I started calling people to try and find someone to take me to the hospital and watch Chloe (it was 2:00am by this time). I got a hold of my friend Ryan, and she came and picked up me and Chloe and took us to her house. The contractions still weren't hurting, and my water didn't break, so we didn't really need to go to the hospital yet. However, on the car ride to her house, the contractions pretty much stopped. I laid down once we were at her house, and I only had one contraction after that, and then I fell asleep. So, it obviously wasn't labor. But I went to the doctor today, and the baby had dropped, and he said her head is really low and that I'm dilated 1-2 centimeters. And then he told me I need to rest and drink lots of water so I don't go into labor. So I guess I better get started on that resting business. (if you haven't done so already, check out my sweet before and after post I did last night.)

REST!! REST!!! REST!! Don't want you to have that baby before your hunny comes home... But I totally understand when people tell you to rest and you look at them like yeah right!!! I have a toddler at home.. That is what I told my dr when I was pregnant with Hunter, but I had two of them running around and I was on bed rest.. YEAH RIGHT!!! I hope you get to the 25th so everyone can get there that needs to be there for you...

All righty then, no more picking up Miss Chloe! She knows how to walk right?! Yeah, you also told me she knows how to sit down and cross her legs when she doesn't want to do something too. Just do the best you can - and speaking of crossing legs - do that for a couple more weeks would ya? Miss Leyla can make her grand entrance when her daddy is there at least...
