I really wish it would stop raining for at least one day so I can get some stuff done. I need to dry my clothes, I need to paint some stuff... I guess that's about all I need to do, but I want to get it done. But the good news is that yesterday I went through all of Chloe's clothes and sorted them. I pulled out her tiny infant clothes so that they're ready for Leyla when she gets here. I bagged the rest of her outgrown clothes according to size and put them away. And I ended up with a bag of clothes for the salvation army. I also organized her closet and now pretty much everything in her room has a place. I've got both cribs in there, a rocking chair, a dresser, and her rocking horse, and it's still pretty spacious. I really want to make Leyla her own bedding like I did for Chloe. I know I won't be able to do it before I have her though because sewing hurts my back. But I didn't make Chloe's bedding until after I had her either. It'll be a few months before Leyla actually sleeps in her crib.

While I was sorting through clothes, I found a cute dress and tights and shoes, so I thought I'd dress up Chloe for church today. I tried to get a good picture of her. I didn't have much success, but I'll go ahead and post what I did get. She was playing with my old punk-rocker chick studded bracelet (that's what's hanging out of her mouth). I don't know where she found that thing. I don't think I've worn it since high school.

She did a good job blocking it in every picture, but the dress has little rhinestone flowers around the neck. She looked very cute. One primary boy said "she looks like an angel!" I never know what to say when people compliment Chloe. Do I say thank you? I don't think that makes any sense because Chloe's the one receiving the compliment, not me. It's not like I can tell Chloe to say thank you. She knows a few words, but "thank you" is not one of them. I guess I'll just keep saying awkward stuff until Chloe can say thank you for herself.
My friend may be bringing over the mattress for my daybed this week. That means my room is almost ready for its big before and after debut! It's not the greatest room ever, but considering the budget I had to work with, I think it turned out pretty darn good.
I guess I don't have much more to say.

You have a point about the compliment thing. I'd never really thought too much about it, just sort of automatically said"Thanks you". She DOES look pretty cute, even with the crazy studded bracelet dangling from her mouth. I'm impressed that you actually got photographic evidence of a barrett in her hair. I think that's one of the first in quite a while.
Hope you figure out a way to get the luandry dried.:0)
