This morning I got the girls all loaded up in the car and everything packed up for the day. I drove to the babysitter's house, and I was about a block away when I got a phone call. The sitter couldn't watch Leyla because when she told her mom how old Leyla is, her mother said she didn't want her to watch the baby. I hadn't anticipated this because the sitter is 19 and when I was 19, I was living on my own in Texas and had been making my own decisions since I moved out of the house when I was17. But I guess not everyone does things that way. Since I already had everyone packed up in the car, I decided I'd just go to school and take Leyla with me again. I did, but when I got to my first class, I asked a girl if she'd send me her notes since she takes notes on her laptop. She agreed, and then I called Ryan to see if I could come over for a while. I needed a break and I needed someone to talk to. Well, thank God for Ryan. Not only did she make me a wonderful cup of coffee and talk with me, she watched Leyla so I could go to my other classes and when I got back from class, she told me she'd be willing to watch Leyla for the REST OF THE SEMESTER. The reason I hadn't asked her is because she has a little boy who is turning 2 soon and she just started putting him in a daycare twice a week so she can finally have a break. I didn't want to ruin her break and I know little boys are a lot of work.
Ok, this story is getting out of hand. To make a long story short, my original sitter is not to be, but by the end of the day, I had two better sitters lined up. I also have a dead armadillo in my backyard. It's thawing out so I can make a museum skeleton out of it.
I finally made an attempt to style Chloe's hair. Here's how it turned out...

Who needs a crib when you have a perfectly good laundry basket?

And finally, today was Chloe's first fast food meal. I was too tired and hungry to make dinner, so we stopped by Wendy's on the way home. This is an extremely rare occurrence.

*Thank you for your prayers*

Love the laundry basket photo. You made some beautiful little girls! The sitter story had some parallels in my own life and a similar result. Somehow God is always looking out for you and your little ones. At least that is what I found. A door closes but a window on a whole new opportunity opens. Hang in there kiddo!
I know all about trying to get babysitters, I went through so many in a few weeks and finially my friend that just had her baby 6 weeks ago said she would do it.. I felt bad to ask her but she said don't worry about it... I know God brought her to me during my stressful time and it was a prayer that got answer.. I was going to lose my job.. So just hang in there. Know that God will help you through all your trails and errors... Many prayers out to you.. and many hugs too..
