The end is near

Today we turned in "skinny." My lab partner took the liberty of naming our squirrel skeleton, and Skinny was the choice. I think it's a pretty good name. I made sure to get a bunch of pictures of the final product since I'll probably never see Skinny again.

A lot of the other student's skeletons looked pretty good, but I think Skinny looked the best. I paid close attention to detail and I think it paid off.

In other not-so-great news, I flunked another physiology test. I'm not really the flunking type. This class is ridiculous. So now I have absolutely no chance of getting an A, and the only way I can get a B is if I get 100% on the last test and our lab project. I highly doubt that will happen, so I'll probably be getting a C. I hate getting C's. I'm not a C student. Perhaps my standards are too high considering the fact that I had a baby in the middle of the semester and haven't had a good night's rest ever since. It's just frustrating because my GPA just now recovered from the C I got during my first semester here, and getting a C in a four credit class is going to hurt. Oh well, whining about it isn't going to change anything.

This morning I actually did something with Chloe's hair. For once in my life, I wasn't running late this morning, so I took the extra time to put her hair in some cute little pig tails.

Yesterday I took Leyla in for her 2 month well-child checkup. She's already over 11 pounds! The poor little critter had to have three shots though. She screamed a scream that I've never heard from her before. It sounded a lot like one of Chloe's screams. And she woke up almost every hour last night with a really sad cry that couldn't be consoled by eating. It was a rough night.

And as for the title of this entry, the end of the semester is in sight, and I couldn't be happier. It's been kind of a rough semester, but really, not as bad as I thought it would be (with the exception of my physiology class; it sucks just as much as I'd anticipated). All I have left is a presentation tomorrow, a Mammalogy test friday, a Chemistry test on tuesday, and my physiology test on the 11th. I'm really looking forward to the end of the semester. I desperately need to deep clean my entire house and do some painting. I also need to put up my Christmas tree.

Well, it's time for me to go pick up Chloe and Leyla.

Oh my Gosh! That's a wonderful pic of Leyla! She looks so, so, well perfect! Smooth creamy skin, enourmous eyes, delicate features. She looks like she should be a model for a Renassaince baby painting.(however the heck you spell that)Like she should be sitting on Mona Lisa's lap or something.
And I love the pigtails - and of course the favorite strand of blue beads :0)
Skinny looked marvelous! You did a grand job on that little guy. I hope all your hard work pays off.
Either way, you did the best you could and that is all you can do.

Skinny is amazing. I can't believe you won't get it back! So unfair.
As for the "C" .... my best consolation is that many companies are wary of people with a 4 point. They wonder if they have no social life and are not well adjusted.
So, just think of it as proof you are relatively "normal".

That skeleton is really cool. Kind of creepy, but beautiful in strange way too. Why can't you keep it?
