I'm so excited! I went out on a limb last week and put an ad on craig's list advertising that I could sew custom baby bedding. I didn't get any replies until today. I posted a picture of Chloe's bedding (the one here) as an example. Well, a lady named Kristin contacted me today and wants me to sew 2 coverlets and some curtains for her twin 2 year old girls and possibly some roman shades (if I can figure out how to sew those before we meet). The only problem is that she's not ready to start the project until January, but that's ok. I'm really excited anyway! I've only had a customer one other time in my life when I made a stained glass koi for some guy while I was working at the craft shop. I'm not much of an entrepreneur, but I really like to sew and I'm excited to start some new projects and end up with a profit instead of in debt!I didn't even know what roman shades were before I talked to her, but I'm glad I looked it up, because I think I'll make some for my bedroom. That'll be a nice finishing touch for my room. My bedroom is my project while I'm out of school right now. I always have to have a project when I'm not working or in school. Gotta keep busy. So hopefully I'll have a big, beautiful before and after post by January 14th of my bedroom. Ok, I'm going to read up on Roman blinds now.

Well congrats! How fun for you. I hope that it all works out well. Make sure you get enough to cover your costs. It's really easy to end up doing something like that for nothing.
I'm glad you'll have a project. I know how much you like doing things with your hands. Just don't get in over your head (said the women who spends her time with her head submerged 90% of the time:0)
I have no idea what Roman blinds are either. I love that you are brave enough to advertise your talents. I agree with your mom. Make sure you end up in the black not the red.
