Now that Miguel's home, I can go play piano for the primary kids and leave Chloe at home. It's pretty nice. I love Chloe, but church is right during her nap time, so she's even more dramatic than ever at church, and I can't always find someone to watch her for me. The point is, I left Chloe here with Miguel, and I took Leyla to church. Miguel took this picture of Chloe while I was gone. She was checking out the scale. She weighs a whopping 20 pounds. And Leyla was wearing her sunday best today.

And this last picture is McGruff the crime dog, as I've named him. This dog has been hanging around our neighborhood for the past few weeks. I named him McGruff because he looks kind of like McGruff and because he has a nice deep bark and considers our street his territory, so I like to think he'll help keep crime down. Yesterday he decided to make our back yard his new home. He's a very sweet dog. I can't afford a dog, but he's welcome to use our back yard and dog house if he so chooses.Yesterday Miguel and I moved the white crib out of Chloe's room and into the guest bedroom. I thought that maybe Chloe and Leyla would be able to share a bedroom, so I had both cribs in one room, but Chloe wakes up every time I open her bedroom door and she's grumpy enough with her solid 12 hours of sleep, so I don't want to risk waking her up 5 times a night when Leyla wakes up. It's ok though. The whole reason I made the guest bedroom was because I thought Miguel's mother was going to be living with me for a few weeks after I had Leyla. But now that I know that's not going to happen, I think it's better off being used as a bedroom for Leyla.

Leyla is starting to wake up now.

McGruff looks like a good guy to have around. Free dog- awesome! I am also glad you got to leave Chloe at home for her nap. I am sure it makes playing piano much more relaxing for you. Plus she probably loves her daddy-daughter time.

Hmmm, There's something about the image of 20LB Chloe standing on the scales with bars in the photo and the rather wistful look on her face... Glad you got to have a more calm time at church. That dress Leyla is wearing is one of my favorites that you wore as a baby! She looks lovely in it too!
That dog DOES look like McGruff. He looks pretty nice.
