Sparkle sparkle

I took Chloe and Leyla to Walmart yesterday because I needed to get groceries and a new pair of shoes for Chloe. I just wanted to get a plain pair of pink or brown tennis shoes for Chloe, but this was the closest thing I could find:Not exactly what I had in mind, but they look cute on her.

I took Chloe to the doctor on Monday because I suspected she had an ear infection. I was right, and she has been pretty miserable. Yesterday she threw her first toddler fit in a public place. It was in the check out line at Walmart. I'm hoping it was just because of her ear infection. She's usually quite pleasant, but she even threw herself on the floor at home yesterday to throw a fit about something stupid. Again, I really hope it's just because of the ear infection.

And Leyla's just been her usual self. It seems to be that Leyla takes after me and is a night owl, whereas Chloe takes after her dad and is a morning person. Leyla spends the hours between 7 and 10 pm wide awake and demands constant attention during those hours. So now the only time of day I have for myself is after 10 pm. That was working out ok because Miguel was getting up with Chloe in the morning, which meant I could stay up late and sleep in, but Miguel screwed up his ankle again this weekend. His whole foot is swollen. The foot that's not hurt is normal looking with visible veins, but his other foot looks like it belongs to a morbidly obese person. But because I don't want to depress myself, I'm going to stop talking about that right now and post a cute picture of Leyla.And in case you didn't notice, I changed my blog layout again. I would rather spend the time fixing up my house, but since I don't have money, I have to find a free way to fill the creative void, and messing with my blog seems to be a good option. I think I'm going to dig through my fabric collection a little later and try to think up something to sew with the supplies I have on hand. We'll see how that works out.
