I just saw my neighbor grab her two year old, chuck her into the front seat of her car and take off driving. Safety belt? Car seat? Nope, just a little kid bouncing around in the front seat of a car. It sure is easy for me to sit here and judge other parents. That's something I need to work on. I've always been pretty judgmental. That's one thing I didn't like about the mormon church. It's not like the church ever told me to judge others, quite the opposite. But I always found myself noticing when someone wore a tank top or wasn't getting married in a temple, etc. and found myself judging them for that. I hate that, it's a mindset I'm having a hard time getting rid of.

Anyway, my new health journal is going well so for. Of course, it's only been two days. I made a cute header for it, so I wanted to post it since I'm not sharing the journal. We got some good news today. Miguel is going to start working on the bridge here in Corpus for a few months starting Thursday. And after that, he should be able to get work in Kentucky. And I can't remember if I wrote about it yet, but I talked to a CPA the other day, and it looks like we're going to get a really good tax refund this year. Enough to pay off the debt we've incurred this past month of unemployment, plus enough to put up a fence, pay off a few other bills, and probably start a decent savings account.

In other good news, Miguel's ankle is doing a lot better and he's been working on painting the rest of the house. I started repainting it over a year ago and I only did the part that's visible from the street. Well, Leyla's awake now, so I better wrap it up.

i also think it stinks when we get in the judgemental mind set. it's hard to get out of. it's not specific to the church but it certainly happens a lot. i'm glad that miguel will be close by, but only if you are. i understand the space thing, too. ps. cute babies! i hope i can see them one day.
