I'm almost done painting my room now. I have more work to do: the floor, new blinds, the baseboards. But I think it's coming along nicely. Here are some pictures. The dark wall with the stencils on it is my accent wall, all other three walls are painted the light green/yellow of the wall with the clock on it.
I still need to go back and even out the paint against the ceiling, but it's about done. I made stamps out of foam and wood.
And here's what's hiding in that lump on the bed from the first picture...

And beautiful Pistachio accompanying Leyla.
And here's a pic of my room before painting...
The white walls were a problem because I don't like white, and they had been touched up numerous times by the previous owners with different shades of white, and they were dirty and dusty. My surface preparation included soaking the mini blinds in the tub, washing the windows and wiping down the walls. I got a LOT of dust and dirt out of the windows and blinds. I feel a lot better sleeping in there now.

It looks great! You hear this a lot but it doesn't make it any less true- you are talented. Nice work!
Wow! That's look really good! When you were describing the colors and some of the ideas I wasn't "quite" so sure how it would turn out - but I was pretty sure you would make it work. Well, way to make it not only work but look fantastic! I concur with Jenette - you ARE talented and Very nice work!
Another amazing transformation. How fun! Did you make stencils, or did you freehand all the flowers?
Is is that way you want it ? It sure looks great in the photo.
Kelsey, can I just tell you that I absolutely, positively, magnificently LOVE LOVE LOVE your room!?!? Seriously, the second I saw the picture of what you did to your walls, I fell in love with them. And I can't believe you came up with that pattern and design and made the stamps all by yourself. Seriously, you are one talented chicka. You sew, paint, remodel, go to school, full time mom, do housework, etc. I am seriously in awe and wonder how you manage to do everything and make it sound so nonchalant. Kudos to you friend.
