I go back to school tomorrow. I'm not quite as excited about it as I thought I would be. Normally by now I'm so tired of dealing with being a full-time mother that I can't wait to go back. The only thing I can figure is that since Miguel's here to help me, I don't get quite as worn out. But school starts tomorrow whether or not I'm ready. However, I think by the end of today I'll be more than ready to go back. Chloe's being extra whiney and is testing my patience and it's only 9:40 am.
I don't have any help with the kids today because Miguel got a local job yesterday. Hopefully it pays enough to take care of all our bills. We shall soon see.

Look at this flooring. It's so pretty. If we get a really huge tax refund, I think I'll finally be able to rip up the horrible carpet in the picture above (it's so icky, I won't put Leyla on the floor without a towel or blanket under her). I want to put hardwood or bamboo down in the living, dining (piano room) and hallway and get a big shaggy area rug for the living room since Chloe tends to fall down a lot in there. And then I want to move the computer out of the dining room and actually put a table and chairs in there to free up room in the kitchen for a dishwasher. I'm so sick of washing dishes by hand, and the worst is yet to come. I hate washing bottles, which I haven't had to do in quite a while, but now that school's starting, I'll have to wash bottles and breast pump components every freaking day.
Ok, I can't handle Chloe anymore. I'm going to make some pancakes and see if maybe she's acting up because she's hungry.

I'm assuming that the pic of the girls is when Chloe is playing with Leyla's activity center. Leyla looks like she's just chilling while Chloe does her jungle gym routine.
I can sympathize about the dishwashing and nasty carpet. Hope things work out they way you'd like them too. Good luck on your first day tomorrow. You'll figure it all out in no time.
HOw did the pancakes work?
I have to go back to school tomorrow too. Not looking forward to it at all.
I hope your semester is fab!! I hope the same for me!
Nobody ever enjoys going back to school after a long break! We had been sleeping in every day until 8:30 (or later in some lazy teenage boy cases--well okay in old mom cases too). Anyway that first morning of 5:50am (seminary) was a killer. And yes, sometimes it is nice to have a break from your kids--especially when they are whiny. They are adorable little babies so I imagine you can't be stay upset with them too long. So nice to see how they are growing and changing. They are so beautiful!
