Unexpected visitor

You'll never guess who showed up on our doorstep today. It was the little white poodle I tried to save back in July! I recognized her instantly and my suspicions were confirmed by the fact that her tail was paralyzed. So obviously her owners learned nothing when she got hit by the car, because she's out wandering the streets again, only this time she doesn't even have any tags on- just a red rhinestone collar. I figured I'd never know whether or not that dog lived, but now I know she's ok, for now at least. Hopefully the dog learned something and won't get herself hit again.

And hopefully Miguel learned something and won't get stuck under the tire of this thing again.

The forklift incident wasn't the only thing that happened last week. Chloe had a big first. She fell asleep somewhere other than her crib. She fell down on the floor because she was running around all crazy and started to cry. I saw the whole thing and I knew she wasn't hurt (she was just being dramatic) so I let her lay there and cry. The next thing I knew, she was asleep! That's unheard of for her. Here's the evidence. And Leyla fell asleep in the boppy pillow...
And let me tell you about lunch today. I started Chloe off with yogurt in a bowl and a cup of water. I turned my back for 30 seconds and when I turned back around, she had put half the bowl of yogurt in her cup of water. I gave her a turkey sandwich, which she took two tiny bites of and then took apart and threw on the floor. She also had a bowl of corn, which she dumped out and put on her head as can be seen below.Note the spoon in the murky yogurt-water. What a little angel.

It looks as though things are pretty much back to normal here. Miguel will be going back to work on Monday, Chloe's still a huge drama queen, Leyla's sweet as ever, and I'm just trying to keep everything together.

I was just thinkin this morning that it was about time you posted some new pics of the girls. They are pretty cute when they're asleep and even with a corn bowl on the head.
It seems inconceivable that Miguel basically walked away from that horrible accident and now will be going back to work one week later.INCONCEIVABLE! (said with a lisp a la the Princess Bride)
I'm glad you are holding together. I'm assuming you must have remembered how to download type hence the lovely new header. I'm jealous, I can't get my stupid new header to fit.
Anyway, thanks for the new pics.

Hey, sorry to cut you short the other day!
Weird about the poodle! Prudence (the lime disease dog) comes up to me each time I come home and lays her head on my leg. Kelly (the owner) swears it's because Prudence knows I saved her and she loves me. Who knows. Animals certainly have a different sense we just don't understand.

Now, "kelsey's world" got awfully dark. Don't get me wrong, I can get behind a modern black streamlined look. Just hoping it isn't symbolic of your mood!

No, I feel fine. I just wanted to go with a different look.

I think it's actually because I want to change MY look. I'd love to get new clothes and dye my hair, but that's not happening anytime soon. So for now, I'll just keep changing my blog.
