Thanks to supernanny, I've been doing time-outs with Chloe for several months now. They work pretty well. When Chloe starts throwing a fit, I simply pick her up, put her in the time out chair, and leave her there for a minute or two. And when I go back in her room to get her, she's a perfect little citizen again. And then of course we talk about why she was in time-out and go about our day.
Now for something completely different... I have a job interview tomorrow. Nothing fantastic. I saw a flyer in the Sci and Tech building for an aquaculture technician opening for the summer. It only pays about $7.50 an hour which means 100% of my income would go directly to child care, but I'm thinking I would be able to get experience that will help me when I start looking for real jobs when I graduate at the end of the year. Anyway, I really doubt it'll work out, but I want to at least give it a shot.
Well, I could go on and on about how busy with school I am and about our financial problems, but I think I'll give that a rest for the time being. Come to think of it, I think I'll go rest! nite-night! (as Chloe would say)

Oh I LOVEd Jojo the supernanny.
I don't have TV now... a good thing, but I do watch some shows online. She isn't one of them.
She hits the nail on the head. Grandma V invented the timeout. We sat on chairs and that was enough.
Good for you learning how to parent rather than freestyling and creating monsters!!
