Here's the thing about my new job. You don't have to know much of anything about biology to do what I'm doing. All I do is use a little electronic device to record water quality, feed shrimp, clean tanks, hot glue stuff together, clean air supply tubes... stuff like that. But it's the kind of job that looks good on a resume when applying to wildlife management types of jobs. And it's the kind of job that could lead to better jobs locally. So, that's why I'm doing it, and I really hope it pays off, because it involves a lot of gross algae and jumping shrimp that I don't like to touch. And it's really hot outside. And I got sunburned today... and I almost stepped on a rabbit...and I got bit by fireants.
I have my last final tomorrow at 8:00am. Which means I should be studying right now. Yup. That's what that means.
So what's going on with my girls? Chloe's vocabulary is ever-expanding. She likes it when I sing "itsy bitsy spider" and "twinkle twinkle little star." She does hand motions along with the songs. She must have learned that at daycare. I'll try to get some video of her making her animal sounds this weekend. Speaking of this weekend, Miguel and I have to baby-proof the house this weekend. Leyla taught herself to crawl in a matter of days. One day she was up on her hands and knees rocking back and forth, and within 2 days, she was cruising around the house on all fours. I was totally unprepared for that. Since I don't have any tests to study for and no papers to write, I have no excuse, and the house needs to be cleaned and made baby-friendly.
I suppose that's enough for tonight. Better hit the books so I can get an A!

Good luck on the test. Sounds like you've got a busy weekend planned (like everyday isn't busy for you:) Glad you got the whole taking a break to pump thing worked out...
