I had to put her in a time out in the grocery store today. That's right. I found a spot, set her down, told her she was in time out, and she continued to scream for the full 2 minutes, but once time was up, she behaved a little bit better. Luckily, there were no other people in the aisle to witness the meltdown.
Basically I am praying that the flights to Salt Lake for tomorrow remain wide open, because we have got to get out of here. I don't think I can handle the both of these girls 24/7. Not only that, but the mosquitoes are getting way out of hand. After the rain that came with the hurricane last week or whenever that was, I took the girls for a run and there was nasty standing water everywhere. I remember thinking that we were going to have a big mosquito problem in about a week, and I was right. I've already swatted at least 7 mosquitoes inside my house this morning. And last night I was cleaning out my car at midnight, and I was getting bit all over the place. I didn't think mosquitoes came out at night. I thought wrong.
I just got a call from Miguel and he's in Alabama. So it looks like he's about half way to his destination. Hopefully this new job will work out.
Well, I have some more cleaning and packing to do in case I'm leaving tomorrow.

I haven't been "blogging" for a while so I had to read to catch up on your blog...I wish I was in Utah or Idaho so I could see you! I hope everything goes okay with your flight! I also haven't seen very many pictures of you, mostly just your adorable girls so it was fun to see that "side by side" view. You look so beautiful! I love your haircut! Anyway, just wanted to say hi!
I hope you get your much deserved vacation soon. I pretty much have been praying for patience every day for about 12 years now. (My oldest is 12). Just kidding. I say good for you to have the courage to do time-out in a store. It won't happen often, once she knows you are serious.
Oh you are a good mom! It's not easy to deal with kids throwing fits. But, like Amy said- consistency is the key.
Can't wait to see you!!! Soon!!!
