This morning I tried to get a picture of me with Chloe. I did manage to get a very cute picture of Chloe, but half of my face was cut off, so I went ahead and just cropped it down. her hair isn't doing her a favor, but her face is so very cute...

Chloe and I were in the kitchen, so I decided I'd go out in the living room to see if I could get my picture with Leyla. I found her sitting here...

So I took about 10 pictures, and every time I pressed the shutter, Leyla would lunge forward or turn her head. So this was the best we could do.

I then moved her little perch to the middle of the room because she was using it to get up on the couch, and I didn't want her getting up on the couch and falling off and breaking her neck. However, she figured out very quickly that she could get on the couch without the ottoman. So I did my best to solve the problem...

That way, when she falls off the couch, she should land on pillows. And she did fall off a time or two.
But once she got over the novelty of sitting on the couch, she spent the rest of her waking hours on her new perch in the middle of the living room.

And I also discovered that I may have the hearing of a 40 year old. I don't know what I was doing, but I saw an ad for one of those high pitch ringers that only kids can hear. I always wondered if I would be able to hear one of those. And I honestly figured that I would be able to. I'm not old, why shouldn't I be able to hear it? Well, the site I went to had several different rings you could listen to categorized by age. I started with the one for 18 and younger. I didn't hear anything. So then I clicked on 24 and younger. Surely I would be able to hear this one. But no. 29 and younger? nope. 39 and younger? Finally. I could barely hear it. Now, I recognize this is by no means a scientific test, but I have a feeling my hearing probably isn't quite where it should be. And I know that my long distance vision isn't as great as it used to be either. I'm getting old! Oh well. And just like an old person, it's 10:00pm, and I'm exhausted, so I better get to bed.

Leyla is quite clever on her little perch, and you did capture a great picture of Miss Chloe.
Now, as one IN her 40s I'm quite willing to own being past my spring chicken days, but can't quite live with old.
I need the site of that hearing test. If I have the hearing of a someone 90 then I'll talk old. (:
What?!? What?!? You hear like a 40 year old? I'm willing to bet that MANY of your peers are in the same boat- not that that makes you feel any better. But then hearing things that only dogs can hear is highly overrated as far as I'm concerned. The girls look adorable - just WAY too far away for my liking.
