Well, the 6:00 news indicated that the projected storm paths have all shifted a little more north. So right now, we're on the edge of what they call the "cone of uncertainty." We're hoping it just keeps moving towards Houston and away from us. School was officially closed down at 2:00, although I skipped my morning classes so I could go buy plywood and board up the house. Here's a few pictures of my cute little house all boarded up:

I coudln't have done it without the help of my neighbors. My next door neighbor lent me his truck so I could get the wood from Home Depot. As soon as I got back, I got out my circular saw and starting cutting boards. After I had cut the boards for the front and side of the house, my neighbors across the street came over and helped me get the boards all hung up. I think when I'm done here, I'm going to bake some cookies to take to them.
Tomorrow the girls and I will just hang out all day and keep an eye on the news. If it looks like we're going to need to evacuate, we'll do that on Friday afternoon. The evacuation center provided by my work isn't too far away, so we can afford to leave a little later. I'll have to figure out how I'm going to transport Pistachio. I guess I can work on that tomorrow.
Anyway, here are some pictures from this weekend. We went grocery shopping on Sunday, and Leyla gets mistaken for a boy quite a lot. I'm tired of it, so I thought maybe if I put a bow in her hair, people would stop calling her a "he." Here are a few pictures of Leyla's first hair do:

And if you look closely at Chloe, you can see dry erase marker on her eyelid and blue playdough on her chin.

She actually did a really good job with it. She didn't mess with it at all. Chloe was the one who ended up taking it out.

And here, I was trying to get a picture of them in these dresses before they totally outgrow them. Unfortunately, this was the best I could do...
That's it for now.

I like the little fountain hairdo. She looks very grown up. Chloe looks ever so charming with the face adornments. the picture of Chloe with her head on Leyla's but is choice. I love those little outfits. I love those little girls. You take care of them and you (watch that bug bite very closely!) and don't take any chances with that storm. I'm praying for you!
haha I really needed that comment on my blog, as I slept through my alarm this morning to go to the gym :) I have a membership but this month I have been terrible about going, part of it is that I am working on this huge project, but the other part is that I am just being lazy mixed with the time of the month. I LOVE to workout and I feel so so much better when I do, I just gotta do it you know? Tonight I will go, I hate going at night, but I gotta just get in the habit of going and then I will be fine. Anyway, thanks for the kick in the butt, I seriously needed it!! Good luck with Ike!!!
Ok Leyla looks NOTHING like a boy. There have been times when I have had Kaelyn wrapped in a pink blanket and a bow in her hair and people still ask if she's a boy or a girl. I never thought she looked that manly. I also never thought people could be so dumb. Anyway, we really hope the storm misses you guys and everything turns out ok.
