This is getting ridiculous

Yesterday when I went to the health center, they put me on two additional antibiotics. The good news is that the sore it getting better. The bad news is that I couldn't sleep last night. I was so incredibly tired, but I just laid in bed until midnight when Leyla started crying. Since she wouldn't take her bottle before bed, I decided I should give her a bottle instead of letting her cry it out. Good thing I did that. She had vomited in her crib. But she didn't have a fever, and she was acting just fine. I brought her to bed with me because I thought all the crib sheets were in Chloe's room. Well, Leyla was a little too excited and wouldn't sleep. I remembered I had a clean sheet in the dryer, so I fixed up her bed and put her back to sleep.

Before that all happened, I was freezing. I had on my extra-warm robe, two blankets on my bed, and it still wasn't enough. A little after I put Leyla to bed, I started to get hot. My temperature got up to 102. I then called my wonderful Uncle Rick, the best physician in the world and probably the best uncle ever to get his opinion on whether or not I needed to go to the ER. However, since my leg wound was getting better, he said my fever is probably just a flu that I picked up somehwere and not related to the infection. To shorten this a bit, I finally got to sleep at about 4:00 am and the girls woke up at 7:00, which means 3 hours of sleep for me. All day at school I had the chills, but once I got home, my fever returned and got up to 102 again. I think the tylenol I took two hours ago is finally kicking in and I'm down to 99.7.

It's just so frustrating. It seems like everything is snowballing. I'd done really well about keeping the house clean up until today. I don't have the energy tonight to wash all the dishes, pick up all the toys, sweep the kitchen, clean off the counters, etc.

Anyway, I can't remember whether or not I posted these pictures. If so, they're worthy of being posted again. So here's a little bit of Chloe antics for your viewing pleasure...

The good news is that neither one of the girls seems to be sick yet. I know I just said Leyla threw up last night, but that was an isolated event and she doesn't have a fever or anything. I just hope I can get through this without them catching what I have. I would feel awful if one of them ended up with a massive infection like I have. I've been washing my hands like crazy and keeping the wound covered and making sure we use different towels.

Hopefully I'll be able to get some sleep tonight. Wish me luck!

Aarg!! I had a suspicion when we talked saturday that you were getting pretty run down.
Your immune system is just really struggling to catch up.
Rest rest however you can. Remember straight A's are not vital... actually not much in the end.
I'll send the best wishes for a crying/fever free night.
Hang in and rest anytime you can!!

Oh sweetie. I'm so sorry you're having it so tough. I just wish there was something I could actually do for you other than listen and pray for a speedy recovery. Do try your best to get any rest you can. Don't get discouraged about the house. Just take care of yourself and those girls. The rest is all just "stuff". I love you.
