Right now my brain is pretty much saturated. I've been trying to force more fish genus species in there, but I guess I'm maxed out for the night. Hopefully I'll wake up tomorrow morning knowing all the names I studied tonight. It usually works that way. And if that happens, I should be ready to fine-tune the names and fix my spelling errors.
Let's see if I have something a little more interesting to write about... hmm... not really. I took the girls out in the backyard today and ran around with them. That was fun. Oh, and I'm feeling much better. I had a cold earlier in the week that started to get nasty, but it abruptly cut off around Friday. Thank goodness. So it's back to the gym next week. Again, thank goodness. This semester has been ridiculous as far as illnesses are concerned. It's just been one thing after another. And now Miguel has some sort of phantom pain that started in his shoulder and somehow spread to his foot/ankle. He's been hobbling around on crutches, and I've not been incredibly supportive because it annoys me and I have no idea just how much he hurts.
Leyla was being ridiculous today. She kept crawling up on the kitchen table. Over and over and over again. So I put up the baby gate. She knocked it down and climbed on the kitchen table. So I decided to let her eat her lunch at the table since she was so hell-bent on being up there. I sat across from her, and the next thing I knew, she was falling, and I couldn't reach her in time to do anything about it. The fall wasn't nearly as bad as it could have been. She busted her lip a little bit, and cried for about a minute (if that had happened to Chloe, I think she'd still be crying right now). And of course, she didn't learn anything. She was right back up on the table within the next 20 minutes. What am I going to do with that girl???

Ok, you are right, that look of Leyla's IS priceless. I totally laughed out loud on inspection of the close up.
Such an adult "What are you THINKING?" sort of expression. One eye is even squinted a bit.
Hilarious!
Hope the fish are stuck in your brain in the morning!!
xoxoxo
Adorable. Carter has not really figured out the climbing thing yet, thank goodness. That is scary to watch them fall when you are right there, but you can't do anything about it. Good luck with your memorizing...you can do it :)
Remember that look. You'll be seeing it a LOT when she's a teen. As far as the climbing goes, all you can do is try to keep her safe and keep an eye on her. She's tough, but you can't let her break her neck just because she's determined. I say the more time she gets to spend outside the less enegry she'll have for climbing.
Good luck with the test tomorrow.
