About a month ago, a girl from China came to my workplace to assist with salicornia research. She is such a sweet girl. I wish I worked more often so that she could have a little more female company around that place, seeing as how I am the only other female employee. I don't know what her real name is, but she decided the closest American name to her real name is Lucy, so that's what we uncultured American folk call her. Anyway, today when I got to work, she wasn't there. Tim had taken her out to lunch, and when she came back, she saw me and said "Kelsey!" and came and gave me a hug. It was a little unexpected. Well, she's been learning how to drive and today she got in an accident, so immediatly after she hugged me, she said "I got in an accident." Luckily, everyone was ok. I guess she needed a hug after the trauma of it all.
So later, I was showing her how to calibrate and clean the oxygen and pH probes, and she said "you have beautiful eyes." So I said thank you. Then she said I could be a movie star. I laughed and told her I can't act. Then she said, "but your face is so pretty." Then I told her I'm not skinny enough and changed the subject. So, I love Lucy for a number of reasons, but today I love her for making me feel pretty. Thanks Lucy.

What a sweet girl. And honest too. You ARE beautiful. and in many more ways than just in looks. Lucy sounds like a really nice girl. I hope you can get to know her better.
Me too. I was actually thinking I should invite her over for dinner some time. I know what it's like to be all alone, but I can't image what it's like to have your nearest family on the other side of the globe.

Being beautiful inside is the best thing and that always shows on the outside.
I agree invite her for dinner, but don't go on a girls night out unless YOU drive.
It's always nice to get complimented like that. I commented on your facebook about your 100 on the chem test but in case you didn't see it, YOU ROCK!! What a smarty you are! Smart & beautiful you got it going! Nice to see Miguel is back too. Bet that helps out alot.
