I can't promise...

... but I will most definitely try to post some new pictures tomorrow. The problem is that I have too many new pictures, and just the mere thought of plugging the camera into the computer makes me exhausted. It's going to take a long time to get the pictures off the camera and even longer to sort through all of them and pick out the best ones. It's actually quite a daunting task.

FYI, I've found a different outlet for letting out some of my frustrations, fears, and worries about the future, so hopefully this blog will be a little more upbeat from now on.

The girls are getting so big and hilarious! Leyla has such an attitude, but she can also be so sweet. Today she was mixing her attitude and sweetness by giving Chloe a really enthusiastic bear hug from behind. Honestly, I thought she was trying to bite Chloe (because that's how she does it now so that Chloe can't escape), but then I saw the huge smile, complete with her whopping 6 teeth. And she's picking up new words all the time. Granted, they probably don't sound like words to the average person, but when I hear them, I know what she means. For instance, the word "cat." When she says it, it doesn't really sound like cat at all, but when I hear it, I start looking around for Pistachio, because I know that's what she's talking about. She really likes cats. Just like her mama.

And Chloe's sentences are getting better as well. She's starting to use more conjunctions and refers to herself in the third person a little less each day. She's very good at giving orders:

"Mama! Get off a computer!"
"Leyla! Don't touch a buttons!"
"Mama, come sit on a couch and eat cereal." (said while patting the empty cushion next to her.)

She's very bossy. She'll make a good mama some day.

It's great when they start to communicate. It's amazing how they start to put words together and puzzle things out. And look, Chloe's already got it all figured out and telling you what to do!
She will be a great mama some day if she takes after her mom!
