On Christmas eve, after Chloe's nap, we decided to sit next to the fire and watch a Christmas movie. My mom and Chloe were sitting together on a recliner, and Leyla was up and about doing her own thing. I thought Chloe might be hungry after her nap, so I warmed up some soup for her. She had a few bites, but wasn't as interested as Leyla was. I ended up eating most the soup. Then, Chloe abruptly sat up and vomited all over the TV tray. My mother and I were hoping that this would be an isolated incident. Nope. It went on all night long. The poor little girl couldn't keep a thing down. She would ask for water, and I'd give her a small glass, and within 20 minutes, she would puke it all up. I think it finally quit at about 5:00 this morning. I spent the entire night next to her with a plastic mixing bowl so I could catch her throw-up and get her back to sleep.
Christmas morning, Chloe's problem moved from one end of her body to the other. And when Leyla woke up, she had vomited in her bed. She spent the rest of the morning randomly throwing up wherever she happened to be standing. But the good news is that both girls were impossibly cheerful throughout the whole thing. Leyla was all smiles and giggles immediately before vomiting, and as soon as she got cleaned up, was right back to her cheerful self. Chloe was the same way.
As of right now, Chloe has been vomit-free since early this morning, and Leyla has been the same since early this afternoon. We're hoping for a better night tonight.
Needless to say, it's been a memorable Christmas. I'll try to post some pictures of the girls with their presents tomorrow.
One last thing. I got Chloe a pair of blue tinkerbell slippers for around the house. She calls them her "slipperies."
