I just logged into my igoogle account, which is still set for Corpus Christi time and weather. The high for today was supposed to be 81. I could sure go for that right about now. I'm tired of being cold! I'm trying to focus on the good things about being out here. The mountains, lots of stars... no roaches. But it's just so freaking cold! I think I need to buy or invent heated socks.

Anyway, I finally have a use for the tape deck in my car. I always liked that my car has both a CD player and tape deck, but I've only used the tape part once. Well that's all about to change. I had to make a trip to walmart this evening to buy diapers. While I was there, I saw a really cheap adapter that uses the a tape to play my ipod! Hooray! Now I have to continue filling my ipod with wonderful music so our car ride back to Texas won't be the Gorillaz album over and over again. Not that there's anything wrong with that...

So today we just got back from spending the weekend with my cousin Rainey. It was lots of fun. We got there Saturday afternoon and let the kids run wild all over the house for the rest of the evening. Rainey made a delicious, healthy dinner of chicken tacos. They were so good. And we took the kids to a chuckey cheese-type place on Sunday and let them run around. Turns out Chloe doesn't like other people's children. Neither do I. Must be where she gets it from. But it was pretty fun. We brought them home and while they napped I put out three more job applications. And then Rainey made another fabulous, healthy dinner. I wish I knew how to make tasty, healthy meals. We left this morning to come back to my parent's house. Rainey's son is about 9 months older than Chloe, but they're pretty much the same size. They were so cute playing together! My camera battery is dead, so no pictures. Just imagine Chloe playing with a really cute little red-headed boy. Running in circles, playing with building blocks, watching PBS. Good times.

So... I guess that's about it for now. I still have no idea what I'm going to do with my life. I have things planned out as far as this Wednesday. I have a dentist appointment at noon. From that point on, I have no clue.

Heated socks would be a great investment :) I'm glad you had a good trip. I too wish I could make healthy yummy meals more often. I'm not very adventurous with my cooking.

One thing that I miss having families live close is that your kids can play with their cousins and grow up together. Enjoy your time there.
