Waiting

I'm currently in Idaho Falls in the VW waiting area. Lucky for me, I remembered to bring along my laptop, and even more lucky for me, they just so happen to have an open wireless internet connection I can use. Unfortunately, it's only been about 5 minutes, and I already seem to have run out of things to do online. Therefore, I'm just going to ramble here for a while.

So why am I at the VW dealership in Idaho Falls. Well, Idaho is ridiculously cold, and when my car got covered in snow, the snow started to melt, then froze, and covered my Jetta in a sheet of ice, which somehow managed to mess up the dirver's side window. It went half way down when I was getting on the freeway, and after thawing out the car in the garage, it went all the way down with a sickening thud. And of course, now it won't come back up. So I drove an hour up here to Idaho Falls with a plastic drop cloth duct taped over the window (which was very noisy, but luckily, not very cold) in hopes that the part of the window that's broken is covered by warranty. There's a good chance it is, but there's also a possibility it's not. We shall soon see. Oh, the VW guy just came in and told me that my check engine light went on because of some stupid sensor that's bad, and he says if it gets any worse, my car won't start and I'll get stranded. Looks like my tab is already up to $90. Let's keep our fingers crossed that it doesn't go up much higher than that. (yeah right)

Currently, I'm on hold with stupid piece of crap Frost Bank (the ones who returned my $970 check for no reason and claim they never returned it). Of course, no one has any idea what's going on and can't seem to find either of the two faxes that ICCU sent last Friday. Imagine that. So, my money that I really need to pay bills is still in limbo. Awesome.

So, I seem to be very pessimistic today. Ok, I don't "seem to be," I AM very pessimistic today. And I got a glob of lip gloss in my hair this morning, so now it's all sticky and nasty.

Maybe instead of bitching and moaning, I should try to focus on the things that are going right. My two beautiful little girls are healthy. I would say happy and healthy, but I haven't actually seen them yet today since my mom took the day off work so I could come out here to get the car fixed. So there's another thing I have going to me, my mom is awesome. My whole family is awesome. I have so much unconditional love and support from my family members, and I really am blessed because of it. Quite frankly, I'm spoiled rotten. I think I'll go work on editing a video of Leyla helping me play piano and hopefully I'll be able to post it on here a little later today.

Ok, ignore me stumbling through a Chopin piece, and just watch Leyla's little face. It's priceless. And note Chloe's helping hand about half way through the video. And if you look really hard, you can see our stupid cat walking around behind Leyla. After watching this video, you'll understand why I hardly ever get to practice piano anymore. It's nearly impossible with the 'help' of these two lovely little girls.

Love the video. What great little helpers you have. I especially liked when Chole's hand crept into the picture frame half-way through. Priceless.

That video was super cute! Thanks for sharing.
Keep focusing on the positive! Yay! It does help. I have to work at that all the time myself as I tend to be a bit of a negative Nelly. (sometimes more than a bit)
Hope your window is up and functioning!!
So great to see you for just a bit last week. Oh those girls!!
