Some Success

I'm totally lazy today. I have so much I need to do. But the only thing I've really accomplished is the purchase of a new-to-me set of dresser drawers. It became very apparent as we were unloading the car last night that the girls need more storage space for all their clothes (also, I need to go through their clothes and get rid of anything size 12 months and younger, so if anyone is in need of clothes like that, let me know), so I started looking on Craig's list for a good deal. Alas, none was to be found. I don't know why people try to sell their old crap for so much money.

So then I remembered we have a Salvation Army just down the road from us. I figured since they get their stuff for free, surely they would have a good deal. WRONG. They had totally old, outdated furniture for only about 25% less than buying new. And it wasn't even well built. I don't know where they get off charging those kind of prices. Since I already had the girls dressed and in the car (quite a feat in and of itself) I decided to go check out the little resale 'district' that's a few miles from our house. I've found some pretty good deals there before. And sure enough, there was a little pink beauty waiting just for us. It's a little dresser probably from the 60's painted pink that's got somewhat of a retro feel and cute little pull handles that I love. And it opens and shuts nicely. But I couldn't fit it in my trunk, so I'll have Miguel pick it up when he gets back from the vally in a few days. Oh, and did I forget to mention it was cheap? Yeah. I may paint it once I get it home, but I kind of like the distressed look it's got going on. I'll post a picture of it once I get it home.

Basically, I've managed to give myself a reason for not doing anything. Since I don't have enough space to put the clothes away, I don't feel like I need to do any cleaning since I can't put anything away until I get my drawers. That's totally not true, but it makes me feel not quite so bad about sitting around and being lazy.

Sound fun! Can't wait to see the photos. Maybe Chelle would be interested in the outgrown clothes?

I think you deserve to sit around and do nothing for a little bit, but just my opinion :) I loved the pictures in the last post too. It really is such a pretty drive that way through Utah. I'm glad you are back safe and that everything seems to be going well!

So don't be surprised if I show up at you door step now since you've invited us. Not that I would have any idea where your doorstep is located but I would not hesitate to drive 22 hours for warm weather. Also, I was playing in a city league basketball game last night at Alameda and I was standing at half court during a free throw and looked down at the yellowjacket which was painted by your madre (I'm pretty sure anyway) and it brought back all sorts of memories. Like when we almost got crushed by that dune buggy that Lindsy's brother and my sister were in when they come flying over the edge of the dirt hill area where we used to walk up, or when I'm pretty sure I peed my pants one time in grade school on your front step because your key to your house was not working as quickly as my bladder so then I ran all the way home, or when your mom discovered that I was in dire need of some glasses in her seventh grade art class. Haha... hopefully you remember some of these and I'm not just leaving you a mile long comment for nothing.
