Van Horn, TX

Currently, I'm laying in bed with Chloe next to me in the Super 8 in Van Horn, TX. Which means our trip is going as planned and we should be back in Corpus Christi by tomorrow evening. We had a wonderful little stop in Tucson to visit Aunt C and do some much-needed dancing (the girls, not me) and had some lunch. But we had to get back on the road within 2 hours. Those two hours with Celiac went by too quick!

I wish I could say that this leg of the trip went as well as the last one. I suppose I should say it could have been A LOT worse. But the last hour and a half was filled with Leyla screams. And eventually it turned into a screaming war between Leyla and Chloe (and occasionally their mother, I'm afraid to admit). But we all made it through with the help of earplugs, a Feist song, and the Yellow Submarine.

I just realized I should have called some family members to let them know we made it here safely. But now it's pretty late. Oops.

Feist and earplugs...whatever it takes eh? Hopefully the last leg will go well.At least it's the last leg and not 10 hours long.

Glad you made it safely this far. Hope the rest of the trip goes more smoothly (less screaming).

I'm glad that you arrive TX safely. It's hard to travel with 2young kids alone, you are doing great. Take care of yourself.
