I was rolling out the screen so I could measure and cut it to size, and Chloe came over to help. And amazingly enough, she actually did help. I had her hold the screen because it kept rolling back up on me and I couldn't measure it. Then I gave her her own piece of screen and a marker so she could take measurements. That kept her busy for quite a while. Of course, I didn't think to take pictures of her working on it.
Then, she decided she was going to wash the dishes. Again, I wouln't have thought to get pictures, but then I checked my blog and saw a request for new pictures. So here's a video of Chloe doing the dishes:
Both the girls have been pretty good today. I've already managed to get 3 hours of work done, and it's not even noon! I've discovered it helps if I can somehow involve them in the process. Also, keeping them busy with food works well.
Here are a couple pictures of Leyla. Being cute...
And if you're wondering what a standpipe cover is, that's one of them on the floor in the lower right corner of the picture above. It's a mesh bag that goes over a drain pipe. It keeps the little, tiny juvenile shrimp from being sucked out of the tank when we have to do a water exchange. I'm not sure if that makes any sense...

Ahhh, I think you're onto something there Missy! What good little helpers you have. I'm betting that the "I want more dirty dishes" phase won't last too long. But enjoy it while it lasts. Thanks SOoo much for sharing some video and pics. Those girls are the BEST, just like their mama.
Cute pictures, as always! I'm sure the girls love helping their mommy.
Thanks for the suggestions about maternity clothes. Did you ever have a Bella Band? I think I'm going to try to pick one of those up this week.
That is adorable. I'm so glad she is starting to help! I always love looking at pictures of them. The pipe thingy looks good too, nice work :)
The girls will surely love their time "helping" mom.
Thanks for sharing new pics! Chloe is quite the thorough rinser!
Very cute pictures, but the thing that struck me the most was how much your voice sounds like a Vaden! Not sure whether it's like Aleta's or a cross between all of us. One thing's for sure you can tell you are related! Kids do love to be involved!
I do have one suggestion...perhaps a stool or chair so the edge of the sink is a little lower than the end of her arms :0)
