Today I took all the pictures off the wall in my piano room as well as removed the shelving that held all my books. I took all my little trinkets off the top of the piano and moved the piano away from the wall (which makes it sound a whole lot nicer when I play it. I wish I could keep it that way). And then I proceeded to tear out an old door frame. I was just going to paint it, but the termite damage was so bad that all you had to do was push on the moulding with your index finger, and it would give way. It was basically the 60 years of paint build up acting like an exoskeleton housing termite dust and dirt.

The point it is, it was a huge mess to take out because of all the dust and dirt from the termites. But I got it out, and I already put up a new door jamb. But I ran out of finish nails, I can't put the moulding up until tomorrow when I can get to the store. Hopefully I'll be ready to paint by tomorrow night. I should be. I also texturized the wall where I'd done some repairs earlier and put primer over all that. So all I have to do tomorrow is wash the walls and take down my curtain rod, and I'll be ready to paint! Finally.
A few days ago I replaced the ceiling fan. The old one had a pretty good motor still, but the light was all messed up. I haven't had a working light in that room for about 2 years. But now I do! And I tell you what- this is the 4th fan I've replaced in this house. I wouldn't mind if I never have to do that again. It's really not a big project, but it's always just such a pain in the ass.

And the neighbor's dog paid us a visit today, which the girls were very thrilled about. In this picture, Leyla is pointing at her and shouting "PUPPY!"

And in this picture, Chloe discovered a little spot of mange or something on the dog's butt. She was very worried. "Oh no! She has a hurt butt! Mama- fix it!" I then informed her that I am not a vet and could not help the dog.

And I think Leyla is still pointing at the dog and saying "puppy."
Piano room before getting ready to paint...

Same area ready for new paint...

And it's way past my bedtime. I'm going to sleep now.

WoW! What a busy day. It's so funny to see how their personalities show up in the pics. Hurt butt indeed. I miss my girls. All three of them. Thanks for sharing. Good luck today with the rest of the project.
How goes the potty wars?
You are so freaking talented! You never cease to amaze me. I don't think I have enough balls to attempt a big project like that all by myself. Good work Kelsey!!!!
