This weekend I had a lot of negative energy. At the suggestion of my mother I decided to start a project to try to get my mind off of the drama and take advantage off all the energy I get when I'm pissed off.
So i focused my energy on the master bath. It had a popcorn ceiling which was flaking off and falling down all over the place. The paint color was ok, but it was flat and dingy. Who puts flat paint in a bathroom? And we had nowhere to store our towels.
The first thing I did was scrape off the popcorn ceiling. That was a mess. Then I put joint compound on the ceiling, caulked the baseboards, primed, then painted. Shane helped me build some shelves, and I put up a towel rod and some pretty tile. It's so much better and functional.

That is some productive use of energy! I like the color and the shelves are a great use of that weird little space.
Now a word of concern. You know that popcorn ceiling is SUPER toxic right? Please tell me you wore a respirator, not just a dust mask?
There are companies that use special spray and scrape machines to take it off to keep the dust down.
Just in case you didn't know....
Read about it. It is scary stuff.
Yikes, I didn't know that. But yes, I used my respirator. I love my respirator.
