Sneak peek

Okay here is a sneak peek at our new house. I've posted a picture of my sewing room and the master bedroom with our sink, the walk-in closet and our nifty built-in bookshelf and drawers.

It's pretty sweet. We have a lot more space than in our old house. And I really like all the organization in the closet.

Of course there are still a lot of things that I'd like to change, but those are going to have to wait a while. Especially since I got started on my taxes today and was very disappointed to find that my return is going to be about $6000 less than it was last year. This is a bit of a problem since I was counting on my tax return to pay off some debt and pay for the wedding since we used all of our money (plus some) on buying the house. So, our wedding is most likely going to be in our backyard and probably a pot-luck. oh well. It doesn't really matter how fancy the wedding is, just that Shane and I get married and get to see all of our family. We have a pretty cute little backyard and I planted some wildflowers today so it may not be too bad to have the wedding there. And this neighborhood is a lot quieter than our old one which was a concern when we considered having the ceremony at our old house.

Anyway, I've done this post using my phone again and it's not the easiest thing to do, so I'm going to wrap this up now.

Well, as you heard, Chuck is pretty envious of your master bathroom- and the built in cabinets. I think everything looks grand so far. The little sewing area is very sweet. and the fact that you only lost one fish in the move while moving 4 tanks is VERY impressive.
I think a backyard wedding would be lovely. As you say, it's getting married and having family there to celebrate that will make is nice.
Looking forward to future updates.
But, please wait til you feel a bit better.

Yay!! I love seeing your new place. So exciting!

I have a built in fetish, so am a bit jealous about those.
Do you have little projects in mind you will use your creative genius to transform?
I'm sure you do.

Looking forward to more pictures of outside and other rooms too. Thanks for sharing. I know it isn't as easy as Facebook, but I'm super glad I get to see.

You are right, the wedding is about you getting married!
