Weirdness

I woke up at 5:00 this morning after having the weirdest dream. It had something to do with a bully and a really annoying kid. The bully eventually killed the annoying kid and this nun got really mad about it. At the kid's funeral the nun handed me a plastic bag with a gun on it. Then they laid her on top of the grave like she was dead, too. Then she stood up with a gun and pointed it at me. I guess at this point I had turned into the bully. I took the gun out of the plastic bag and tried to shoot her but it didn't have any ammo. The nun laughed and then started chasing me. And then she shot the bully. I think right before the bully got shot I stopped being the bully and turned into a bystander. I woke up right after the bully hit the ground. It was pretty disturbing. It took me about an hour to get back to sleep. But I also kept thinking about Lily, and of course now that she's gone I really miss her. And as much as I hated her barking, it really was nice to know that if someone was trying to break in, she would sound the alarm. Now it's just me and Chloe and Pistachio. I'm sure we'll be fine though, it's not like our house looks like it has anything valuable inside it. Really the only things someone could easily steal are my laptop and maybe my TV, and my TV is pretty outdated by now. No use worrying about it, I'll just need to make sure i keep my doors locked.

Last night was good payoff for not freaking out at the neighbors when they have been noisy and annoying. I was measuring out my countertop base and I realized my measuring tape just wasn't going to cut it. So I went next door and asked if I could borrow a t-square. He let me borrow a big one that worked perfectly and volunteered his help if I needed anything. I was glad to hear that because I needed to cut out the countertop and it's been a long time since I've used a circular saw, and I've never used the one I have. After borrowing some sawhorses, I tried a practice cut. It did not go well at all. So I asked the neighbor to come take a look. Good thing I did. I didn't have the blade tight enough and some guard was locked. He got it in working order and even cut out the big piece for me. I was really glad he did that; it's been a long time since I've used a circular saw and I didn't want to mess up the big main piece of counter. I let him go after that and I successfully cut the small piece of counter that goes on the other side of the stove as well as a few strips for the edge. It was a lot easier now that the saw was in working order. I really enjoyed it. I had to stop though because it was 9:00 and the saw is really loud. I feel good about the project though. Of course it looks horrible right now, and I'll post photographic evidence of that, but I'm making good progress and I can already envision how great it's going to look now that I have all the pieces. The burgundy was just so dark and... burgundy. And the drywall behind the sink really needed help. I've got it all patched up and ready to go now. I have good motivation to finish this project because I have to wash dishes in the tub or kitchen sink til I get it done. So here's that picture.

That was the weirest story but the accompanying picture of the nun surfing the internet made me laugh really hard. I am sorry you had to give Lily away but think how happy she will be playing with that other dog. Also you can use the money you will save on her food to update your kitchen/house.

I concur about the fantastic photo. I'm sure the dream has some deep profound meaning. But, probably nothing life altering. Nice to have the lovely photos visula to accompany it though
