Not for sale

I had a pretty disturbing dream last night. For some reason, I thought I couldn't raise Chloe anymore, so I put her in the free section on Craig's list, and I just handed her off to the first lady who came to check her out. I was a little hesitant to give her to that lady because she didn't have a piano, and I know how Chloe likes to play piano. After I gave her away, I started to regret it, and I didn't think there was anything I could do about it. And then my phone started to ring, and I saw that it was Miguel calling and I thought to myself, "oh crap." What was I supposed to tell him? I'm pretty sure I woke up after that. It was like a replay of what I did with Lily, but instead, I did it to Chloe. It was disturbing to say the least, and I was relieved to hear Chloe's little voice coming from her room this morning.

Here's my agenda for this week:

Monday: class, field trip to the jetties, WIC appointment
Tuesday: two classes
Wednesday: all-day field trip on a boat
Thursday: 1st invert test, presentation (must talk for at least 15 minutes, the only graded assignment for the entire class)
Friday: back to the dermatologist to tell him the cortisone shots didn't work and discuss the possibility of getting laser surgery

So hopefully this will be my last post until Friday. If not, that means I'm avoiding working on my presentation and studying for my test. Which is exactly what I'm doing right now. I'm doing my presentation on the reintroduction of the Gray Wolf into Yellowstone and Central Idaho. 15 minutes is a really long time to talk. And since that's the only assignment in the class, I really can't screw it up. I've done a fair amount of research and I've made about 8 slides, but I've got a long ways to go. I need to practice it over and over because I seem to have lost my ability to speak in public. And I haven't studied for the test at all. I'm hoping that I'll have enough time after classes this week to study and work on my presentation while Chloe's at daycare. I'm just not good at studying at home. I guess I have too many distractions here. And I fall asleep. I started to doze off on the couch today while Chloe was messing around in the living room, and she came over and hit me in the face with her shoe. She's such a sweet little thing.

I'm sure you'll do great with your presentation. And yes, Chloe IS sweet. The shoe in the face was just a gentle reminder that she was around...:0)
