I should be on a boat right now in Corpus Christi Bay catching inverts and watching dolphins, etc. But no, I'm sitting in the library cooling down after my work out. The freaking weather ruined this field trip as well as the field trip on monday. These two field trips were the best ones out of the whole semester, and we didn't get to go on either one. I'm really disappointed. I was looking forward to both of them because I'm a huge dork like that. So instead of going on a field trip, I got to get up at 5:45 this morning, take Chloe to daycare at 6:30, go to school, and find out that there was no field trip. So then I got to sit through two hours of lecture starting at 7:00 am instead of going on a boat ride. I'm a little bitter about the whole thing.
After lecture, I did my workout. I did a full 30 minutes. I've been working out every morning before class, and I stay in the gym until 7:58 (class starts at 8:00), but I usually only have time for a 20 minute work out. But that's better than nothing, and I've gone every week day since I made my commitment.
There is some silver lining in the boat trip being canceled though. Now I have almost 5 hours to make my presentation for tomorrow perfect. It's kind of a big deal because this presentation is worth two credits. So I want to make it perfect, and I need to practice a lot so I don't stumble over my words. The first three speakers in my class went yesterday, and I learned what not to do from two of them. I'm glad I didn't go on the first day. But the girl who went first did really well. I just have to figure out what to do with my hands... I'm pretty sure I'll end up either fidgeting with something or resting them on my belly like the huge pregnant lady that I am (both of which could be very distracting behaviors). Well, I seem to be sufficiently cooled down from my work out now, so I better get to work.

Bummer about the field trip:0( They won't be able to make up either if them eh? But, I'm glad to see you looking on the positive side and preparing for your presentation...What to do with your hands is always a dilema. I realized that one of the reasons I like to wear aprons at school (besides my ovbious spilling and messy person issues) is that I have a comfortable place to put my hands. I'm sure you'll do a marvelous job. You little genius you!
