My first straight A college semester! (if the image above doesn't show up on your computer, it's my summer semester transcript which I cut and pasted from the school web site) Granted, I only took two classes, but still. I got a 99 out of 100 on my lab practical and a 94% on my last test, which brought my average to an 89.75, just enough for an A.

So, I gave my cousin a call yesterday, not knowing what to say, and honestly, not thinking she'd answer. To my surprise, she answered, and she sounded like she was handling it pretty well. But she's pretty good at sounding ok no matter how she really feels. I'm just thankful that she's with her family right now. I know they'll help her out a lot. She has a wonderful family. I've always admired her family's relationship with one another.

It's times like this that I truly hope there is a loving deity in heaven. Losing a loved one is never easy, but I think it makes it just a littler easier knowing that their spirit is in heaven surrounded by love. And of course a young child would go straight to heaven. And I'm sure the thought that you have an opportunity to meet up with that loved one after living your own life makes the concept of dying a little easier to handle as well. It must be comforting to have faith in a god in heaven. Maybe I'll have that some day, but for now, I'm thankful that my loved ones have a strong faith.

You brainiac! Way to Go! That should make you feel pretty good eh? And just days before you turn old too :0)
I too am glad Mel has such a wonderful, loving, and supportive family. Both here and those who have already passed on. I'm sure her Gramma Lyman, and uncle Phil (and others) were there to greet little Gus. I believe in that loving God and it does bring some comfort to know that there is something more.
Have fun with Miss Chloe today!
