Relaxing in the library

I already spent 2 hours in the library today, and I'm here for another 2 hours or so. I can actually get a fair amount of "rest" here. If I go home, I'll feel compelled to get up every 10 minutes or so and do something: put away dishes, pet the cat, mess with the computer, etc. The library has nice comfy chairs (more comfortable than any chair at my house), and they have a laptop checkout (which I'm utilizing right now). Chloe's at daycare, and I'll be leaving her there until around 6:00 again to maximize the amount of time I can relax without the strain of taking care of a toddler. She was really good for me this morning though. I laid on the couch and she quietly entertained herself on the living room floor right next to me. She's such a good little girl.

I've hardly had any contractions at all since Sunday night. Leyla really needs to hang tight for at least a week and a half. I have THREE tests next week: Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. I REALLY want to get those out of the way before I have an infant to worry about. So, I guess I'll just have to do my best to relax so I don't go into early labor. This semi-bed-rest that my doctor put me on could actually help my grades though. I get so bored just sitting around that I actually want to study. I'm just a little nervous because I remember that I had a doctor's appointment on the friday before Chloe was born. During that appointment, he said I was dilated 1-2 centimeters. I had Chloe 2 days later. Since I had the same prognosis yesterday, I have a hard time believing that Leyla's going to wait around in there for 2 weeks. But then again, with Chloe I was still working full time up until that Saturday, and I spent all day Saturday leveling the floor in her bedroom. Maybe this one will hold out since I'm taking it easy now.

Now a little note about Corpus Christi water. When I came home from my little trip to Idaho, the whole city was on a boil advisory. We were supposed to boil all water used for cooking and drinking because the water had tested positive for e-coli. Well, to remedy the situation, the water department upped the amount of chlorine they put in the water. Now it smells like a swimming pool when you take a shower or a bath. And my water bottle smells like a swimming pool, too. Awesome.
I guess I better get started on some of that studying. My tests are going to be very difficult.

Glad to hear you are taking it easy. Any studying you get done is all for the good.
And yes, you do have a sweet little girl :) Just like her mama.
