The sound of silence

Finally, there is peace and silence at my house. No screaming kids, no stupid loud neighbor music, just silence. Leyla's asleep in my room. Chloe's asleep in her room and has been for over 30 minutes now. I took her to the doctor this morning. He said she had some fluid in her ear and wrote out 6 prescriptions. Two of them were refills on her asthma medication, but the other four were for her ear. I'm not going to give her the steroid though because her congestion isn't that bad, and she's already had to take steroids too many times. Hopefully it all works and she'll get a good night's sleep tonight.

I took this photo a few weeks ago. I was cropping it in photoshop and I discovered the smudge tool, so that's what's going on in the background. I had a little fun with that. Anyway, ever since she's been able to manipulate items with her hands, Chloe has had a fascination with Pistachio's collar. I occasionally remove the collar from the cat and let Chloe play with it. This last time, I thought she might like to wear the collar. I was right. If you look hard, you can see the molars that are coming in. She's been drooling like crazy the past couple days. I'm assuming it's because of all the new teeth that are coming in. Poor little creature has an ear infection and new teeth coming in. No wonder she can't sleep!

We have a pharmacy right down the street from our house, so that's where I get our prescriptions filled, despite the fact that I totally hate that pharmacy. It's just so convenient. Anyway, instead of driving to go pick up the prescriptions, we took the double stroller out again. This time, I think Leyla actually enjoyed it, which is great because I'd actually like to go jogging with them some time, or at least go walking more often. Of course Chloe liked it, she's always loved riding in the stroller.

Well, I thought I was going to have a stress-free week, but it turns out I have another presentation to give on Thursday and a test on Friday. That means I have to take advantage of the fact my girls are asleep and get started on the presentation. Adios.

What a cutie! And yes you can see those teeth back there. What little tyke wouldn't want to wear a fun collar like that. Looks quite similar to the one our cat has. Hers jingles a little so we always know she is coming. Glad you are getting some peace. Hang in there little mama!

Oh so glad the weeping and wailing is over!
For a minute I thought Chloe was becoming a Goth, but a cat makes more sense.
Good luck on the presentation and test!
Sleep needed for you too!

That is a freakin sweat necklace/slash collar. Of course, she is cute enough that she could wear a a giant clock around her neck and it would look good (oh, wait, flavor flav already does that!).
