relax time

I finished my presentation last night (at the expense of taking Chloe and Leyla trick-or-treating) and now I have about an hour before class to just relax, although I just remembered I have another test tomorrow so I should probably be studying for that. I'll do it in a minute.

My little girls are doing really well. Chloe is back to her usual self now that she's on antibiotics and ear drops. Leyla is growing too fast. I've heard her laugh 3 times already and she just 5 weeks old! (she'll be 6 weeks old tomorrow though). She's such a spoiled little baby. I love the fact that she likes to cuddle and be held, so I take advantage of it to the point that she pretty much refuses to relax unless she's being held. They're such sweet little girls.

I talked to Miguel last night and he was trying to figure out if the girls and I could come live with him for a while. But there's a lot of problems with that. Since the girls have insurance through the state, I'd have to try and get health insurance for them in Kentucky. I'd have to find someone to take care of the house. I'd have to rent a u-haul because 2 babies require a lot of stuff that won't fit in my car. Bottom line: we'd be better off taking a pay cut and having Miguel find a job here. Honestly, by the time his company takes out all their deductions (uniform, housing, union, etc.), the state of Kentucky takes out taxes, and you take into account the cost of Miguel coming home for visits (gas, missed pay), AND Miguel supporting three households with one paycheck, he's not making any more money over there than he was over here, despite the fact that his hourly wage is $10 an hour more. He also doesn't get overtime pay, it's just a flat rate. The good news is that we only have 6 payments left on the truck! So in 6 months, we'll own the Tacoma and our bills will be reduced by $220 per month. That helps.

Anyway... I just found out that next semester's schedule is online, so I'm going to work on making a schedule.

Sounds like you're going to make it through another week. Hopefully, you'll get something figured out for Miguel with the job situation soon. I know that is a big added stress for you. Good luck with the test tomorrow.
