Stretch!

Leyla looks like she's stretching or trying to swim. I love my cute little girls.

It's been over four weeks since I had Leyla, so I went back to the gym today. I didn't go all crazy though, I just walked on the treadmill for about 25 minutes, but it felt good to finally get a little workout.

I thought I had a lot to write about, but now that I'm writing, I can't remember what I wanted to say. Oh well.

Ok, now I remember a few things. First of all, I wanted to write a few things for Leyla. I don't keep a journal, so when I have things that I want to write down in a journal, I write them here. Last night I was in bed, but I could sleep because Leyla was next to me, and she's just so cute, and I couldn't stop thinking about her. I remember one of the first things I said to her was "I like you." It's true. Of course I love her- that's a given. But I like her too. She's just so easy going and she makes the funniest grunts and squeaks. I do like her a lot and I'm already so thankful that she's a part of my life. And I love that she sleeps in the bed next to me. I usually have a queen size bed all to myself and it gets a little lonely. Now I have a little bed buddy. It's great. And she's a good sleeper and doesn't wake me very often.

Now for something completely different. Chloe's daycare is having a "harvest festival" (they're not allowed to say Halloween) on Friday. So I've been trying to figure out how I can dress up Chloe. I decided I would like her to be Jackie Kennedy. Of course that's not going to happen because it would require me sewing a pink suit coat jacket and skirt and little hat by friday, but that's what I would do in a perfect world. Either that or Ms. Hepburn. I don't know where I'd get a miniature pair of those glasses, but that would be pretty sweet, too. But I'll probably just end up gluing a cotton ball to Chloe's butt and sending her to school with a carrot (viola, a cheap and quick rabbit costume.) I want Leyla to be an ear of corn for Halloween. I think that would be funny. But again, there's that time and cost thing. I was going to photoshop Chloe's head on these photos, but my photoshop application is being stupid and won't open. Maybe some other time.

Well, Leyla's working up some grunts, so I think I'll be heading her way to see what the issue is.

The great thing is whether Chole has a complete pink Jackie outfit or an straggely cotton ball on her butt - she will be equally adorable. Ditto for Leyla.
It's wonderful to be able to know of your tender feelings for you girls. Thanks for allowing me to get a sneak peek by way of your online journaling.
I know what you mean about those feelings because I have similar feeling for my baby girl, only imagine them magnified by 23 years. Yeah, crazy huh!?!
