Chloe absolutely will not sleep. She didn't go to bed until 9:45 last night, and then she was up again screaming at 7:00 in the morning. She only took a 15 minute nap at daycare. I put her to bed at 7:00, she was quiet for a while, but she's been in her room crying and boo-hooing for about the past two hours. I don't know what her deal is. I think I'll take her to the doctor tomorrow. I kind of hesitate to do that because I think sometimes her doctor over-medicates. But she really needs to get some sleep. If she doesn't stop within the next half hour, I guess I'll give her some Tylenol. Geez, she was quiet for the past couple of minutes and then she started back up and it woke up Leyla and now she's working on throwing a fit. Being a single mom of two little kids isn't too bad when they're behaving. But when one is sick or acting out, it pretty much sucks. Yesterday I asked Miguel to find out if he could do a phone interview for one of the refineries here in Corpus. I know his mother is never going to come down, and I really could use some help. I realize that if he can get a job down here he'll have to work long hours and I won't see him much or even be able to get that much help from him with the kids, but a tiny bit of help is better than none at all, not to mention the emotional support. I hope he looks into that.
I don't like to go in Chloe's room while she's crying and throwing a stupid fit because I think it reinforces bad behavior. So the next time she calms down, I'll go give her some Tylenol. Because I can't sleep when she's crying and I need to sleep just as much as she does. So now we're just waiting...

I agree that you need your sleep as much as anyone. I hope she finally fell asleep and Leyla too. I also hope Miguel can be closer to help even the slightest bit. Even watching them long enough for you to take a shower or something. Hang in there and I am sure something will work out where he can come back soon.
The screaming just isn't like Chloe, I bet when you take her to the Dr today he'll find she has an ear infection or is teething or...
Doesn't make it any easier when she's crying but it does help to know she isn't just all of a sudden a hysterical little girl.
I hope you got "some" sleep last night.
(FYI I left my phone on the charger today - What me forget something?!?)
Hope Chloe is ok. Let us all know what the deal is.
I agree with your Mom. This is such a behavior change for Chloe that she must have something causing her pain.
I hope all goes well at the doctor.
Also crossing my fingers that Miguel can find something closer to home.
