I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas. Ours was pretty quiet and uneventful, which is good. I'm not much into socializing, so it was a nice Christmas for me. We opened presents first thing in the morning, had french toast for breakfast and then I made my infamous white-chocolate pumpkin cheesecake. We pretty much just sat around the rest of the day. Chloe had a great time playing with her new Mr. Potato Head and piggy bank.
I got a lot of neat stuff from mom and Chuck and my dad. My mother gave me some shirts, and amazingly, three out of the four fit really well and actually look very nice. I don't have any pictures of me on Christmas, but I think I'll post a picture of me in my new clothes once I get my haircut (my christmas present from Miguel). Ooh, maybe I'll do a before and after of me. Chuck got me some juggling sticks. I used to have a set, but they disappeared quite a while ago, so it's really nice to have another set. My dad got me a bunch of stuff from Vietnam, but I think my favorite Vietnam item is the elephant bag. I'll have to post a picture of that later.
Because of our rough financial situation, I didn't get anything for the girls or for Miguel. But the girls were fine because their grandparents had sent presents for them (and they're too little to even know what's going on). But I felt bad because Miguel didn't have anything to open, so on Christmas Eve, once Leyla went to sleep, I went to the grocery store to get some olive oil for Miguel (it's what he wanted). But the grocery store was closed. I drove around for a while, but the only place I could find that was still open was a convenience store. So this is what I got him...
Needless to say, he was pretty happy about it.

My dad got Leyla an ugly doll for Christmas. Here she is with her new uglydoll. She chilled out in her swing pictured here while we opened presents. She was pretty content with just watching. Now both my girls have an uglydoll. Chloe got a green uglydoll from Shelly when we went to Idaho a year ago.

What a busy-helpful little girl you've got there! Thanks for posting the pics and the videos. Chloe is really steady on her feet now, and apparently she loves not only balls and circle things but berries too. I'm surprised she didn't try to put any in her mouth! She promptly got rid of them in time to grab a couple more.
Glad you had a good quiet day with family. I love you!
I love the potato head glasses on Leyla. Also thanks for posting all those videos- you have a darling little family.
