But no, this is a picture of the "forklift" that had him pinned to the ground.
When I think forklift, this is not the piece of machinery that comes to mind. This thing weighs 5,000 pounds.
I guess I have to agree with the nurses and EMT- Miguel is very lucky to be alive. Not only that, it's amazing that he's up and walking around like nothing happened today. That man is amazing.
The small tire is the one that rolled over his hand and arm and came to rest on his torso. It sat on his chest for at least 30 seconds before a 250 pound man got on it and put it in reverse.
Pretty crazy.

Holy Hannah!!
My version of forklift was the same as yours. That think looks like a huge backhoe!!
Ok, so the blessing in all of this is that he IS alive. Geez!
Does it have anything to do with his freakish limberness?
One has to wonder.
Wow- I had picture that smaller one too. He is a lucky guy not only to be alive but to have you! So glad he is doing so well.
correction: forklift weighs 15,400 lbs with a load capacity of 5,000 lbs.

Dang that's a heavy forklift. Glad to hear Miguel is all right! Maybe he should do those strong men competitions and win some prizes. Anyhow, I hope things start to look up for you and you can get past all the shit. Take care!
Holy cow- 15,400 I couldn't even imagine how painful that must have been! Poor guy. I agree with brianne he could totally compete in those iron man competitions after that. Thanks for the correction and the picture. I am so glad everything turned out the way it did.
WOW, you guys are sooo lucky that someone was looking over you all! Keep your head up Kels!
Well, I knew Miguel was tough before, but 15,000 lbs tough is crazy. It's incredible that he not only survived but that he is up and around. He's working his guardian angel overtime I'd say!
Wow! I guess I should visit your blog more often. Every time I come I am always amazed. Thank goodness Miguel is okay. Small or big he is one lucky man. What a scary thing!
