So, the camera's still missing, and I found a pretty good deal on craig's list, but the guy lives out in Rockport, which is a good 30 minute drive one way. With gas prices being where they are and my children being they way they are, I just wasn't up to making the trip this weekend. And then one of my least favorite South Texas experiences occurred last night. I was sound asleep in my comfy bed when something landed on my face. I knew instantly that it had to be a cockroach. I bolted upright in bed, tore the covers off, and sure enough, there was a massive cockroach running around in my bed. I grabbed the nearest pillow and used to to smack the cockroach off the bed and onto the floor. I then tried to go back to sleep. Needless to say, it took quite a while. The whole thing just pisses me off because Leyla was actually sleeping very well last night for the first time in about a week, and I could have had a really good night's rest. But no. A roach had to land on my face.
Now you may be wondering how the roach relates to the camera. Well, the money I was going to spend on the camera is now going to be spent paying an exterminator. He's coming on Friday. I put that call off for way too long.
Well, I wish I had some new pictures to share. I really, really wish I could take a decent picture of the sewing projects I worked on this weekend. I made a pillow and a nice slip cover for Chloe's bed and two pillow covers for the couch. They all turned out really nice. But you'll just have to wait to see them until I either find my camera or buy a new one.
I have to get back to work now. I have a big project/presentation due this week and I'm meeting with my professor about it tomorrow, so I want to make sure I have plenty to show him.

Creepy! I would have had a hard time returning to sleep as well. Hope the presentation is going well. It was fun to chat with Miss Chloe last night. Tonight we'll have to try for the skype...
Oh the roaches. I had my first run in with one in my new mini digs here just a couple of weeks ago.
Because it is dryer here we don't have near the volume you do, but I CAN relate.
Good luck with the presentations and the camera hunt.
Hmmm..the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.....and I can say this because your mom and I are from the same tree!!
