Home Sweet Home

After another 12 hours of traveling, we rolled into our driveway at 2:15am last night/this morning. I won't bother with the details of the trip home other than Leyla's 20 minute screaming fit on the airplane that started right at the beginning of the safety demo. Good times. Other than that, it actually went quite well, thanks to the mercy of kind strangers.

After being gone for three weeks, I came home to a very needy kitty, 5 foot tall crab grass in the back yard, a malfunctioning shower head, and an empty pantry (it was empty when I left, I just forgot about it until I got home. out of sight, out of mind.) Other than that, the homestead seems to be in pretty good shape. I really did miss my little house. I have so much more work to do here. A big part of me hopes that I can secure a decent paying job with a couple weeks vacation time here in Corpus so I can stay here in the warm, humid climate and continue to work on our little house. I already decided that if I am offered a job that allows me to make two week-long trips back to Idaho a year, I'll take it. But chances of that are pretty much slim to none. OR, my family could all just move down here! You know you want to. As of early this morning, gas was only $3.49. Think about it...

Anyway, I don't have any new pictures because I took my camera with me to Idaho, but I forgot the charger, so it's been charging all day. I'm sure the battery's full now, but the girls are asleep, and I don't have anything else to take a picture of right now. I'm sure I could think of a lot more to write about, but I'll spare you and go to bed instead.
